The 2.4GHz radio frequency allows you, as a photographer, to move freely while the set reliably fires every time. Thanks to a robust 100-meter range, you never have to worry about losing signal. With 16 adjustable channels, you can perfectly match the communication to your equipment, making interference a thing of the past. The receiver can also control a flash via a 3.5 mm jack plug adapter, handy for gear with a 3.5 mm sync input.

Changing batteries is a breeze thanks to the handy sliding cover on the receiver. The transmitter uses an easy-to-replace coin cell battery, so you can plan long shooting sessions worry-free. The transmitter also offers a hotshoe connection for various accessories (such as external flashes), although this connection does not transmit TTL signals.

The RF-DD2.4 is an advanced successor to the RF-DD4 and switches to a 2.4GHz frequency, whereas the RF-DD4 operated on 433MHz. This means communication between old and new versions is not possible, for both transmitter and receiver.

Important to note: The RF-DD2.4 works with most DSLR cameras, but Sony/Minolta owners should use the HS-25Sa hotshoe adapter. For the latest Sony MI hotshoe, the Travor HC-511 adapter is the solution. Both adapters are listed under optional accessories. Please note that the RF-DD4 is not compatible with the Canon EOS 80D.

Using with a Sony Camera

Do you have a Sony camera with a new hotshoe mount? Then use the TF-334 adapter from the optional accessories. For cameras with an older hotshoe mount, the HS-25Sa is the recommended choice.
