For connecting heavier cameras, we recommend the TSN-PA adapter. It provides a stable link between your camera and the spotting scope body. You can find these adapters among the optional accessories. For lighter cameras, such as an MFT camera, use the TSN-DA adapter, which attaches to the eyepiece. When using the TSN-DA adapter, you can connect the setup in two different ways.

With the Kowa TSN-AR42GT, you connect your camera to the TSN-DA adapter via a standard T2 adapter, creating a compact and versatile digiscoping solution. If you want to connect your camera via your lens’s filter thread, you’ll need an adapter ring that fits it.

Mounting to the camera body with the Kowa TSN-AR42GT involves a few steps: screw the DA10 inner ring onto the eyepiece, attach the optional Kowa TSN-AR42GT adapter ring onto the DA10 outer ring, connect it using the matching T2 adapter for your camera system, and slide the DA10 and camera body combo over the inner ring. Secure everything with the thumb screw, and you’re good to go digiscoping.

Connecting via the filter thread on your camera lens is also possible. Besides the TSN-DA10, you’ll need a Kowa adapter ring that fits your lens’s filter thread. Kowa offers a range of sizes: 28, 30, 30.5, 37, 43, 46, 49, 52, 58, 62, and 72 mm. For other sizes, a step-up or step-down ring is your solution. Contact us for more details.

You choose the Kowa TSN-DA10 for spotting scopes from the Kowa TSN-99, TSN-88, TSN-880, and TSN-770 series, combined with a Kowa TE-11WZ or TE-80XW eyepiece. For setups using the Kowa TSN-601, TSN-66, TSN-82SV series, and the High Lander series, use the TSN-DA20. These are also available among the optional accessories.

The Kowa TSN-DA system works with all sensor formats. Keep in mind that heavier cameras may put too much pressure on the lens’s filter thread. Kowa is not responsible for any damage to your equipment when using these adapters.
